Know what a check establishes.
Fix or Replace publishes appliance-help research and decision tools. Manufacturer instructions control the procedure; our contribution is the comparison, sequence and questions that follow an observation.
Publisher and responsibility
The website publishes under the name Fix or Replace. It is independent of appliance manufacturers and is not a repair booking service. Editorial questions and corrections go to feedback@fixreplacehelp.com. We do not claim professional repair credentials, a repair laboratory or independent appliance testing for these articles.
AI-assisted drafting and software tools are used in building the site. They are not evidence for a repair instruction. Sources, model limits, calculations and unresolved questions must be explicit; no repair result or reader case is invented to complete a page.
Three different evidence scopes
- Exact-model document: the complete model, sales market and revision must match before using a control sequence, access point or part layout.
- Manufacturer family article: supports the stated general check. It does not establish a matching teardown or control sequence for every model.
- Agency safety or recall notice: its affected products, serial range, region and official remedy control. Appearance or a shared brand is not an affected-unit match.
The source link and description beside a claim state which scope is used. A document listing proves that a resource exists; a product feature page does not prove a repair step. We link to the source rather than rehosting complete copyrighted manuals.
What our analysis adds
The check-result guides separate observations that can sound alike: a tub that drained versus an incomplete spin, water that never left versus sink backflow, and cooling recovery versus food exposure. Each branch states a next action, a verification and a stop point. This is analysis of documented guidance, not a claim that we performed the test.
The owner tools preserve a service record, unresolved parts questions or a complete quote comparison. They do not diagnose an internal component. Quote amounts are entered by the reader; blank costs are not zero, and appliance age is not converted into a made-up failure probability.
Dates and publication checks
A displayed source-review date records the editorial review stated on that page. It is not the date of an independent appliance test. Adding a navigation link may change sitemap modification time without changing the original procedure-review date. Sources may later move, change or block a network; an inaccessible source is not silently counted as a successful check.
Before release, automated checks cover links, source presence, model boundaries, structured data, tool inputs and decision paths. Those checks cannot independently validate every manufacturer's procedure. If model identity cannot be established, a standalone repair guide is not published for that entry.
Corrections and reader reports
Send the page URL, full model and suffix, sales country, disputed wording and supporting document. Do not send a serial number, address or payment details. A reader's repair description is a report, not established causation. We do not label it a confirmed case without sufficient supporting evidence and permission to publish.
Material corrections change the affected wording and its review note. Unresolved claims remain limited or are withdrawn. Use the contact page to report a broken source or unclear branch.
Advertising and independence
Advertising does not decide diagnostic outcomes. Search, navigation, error and interactive-tool pages do not load the advertising script. Any future paid or affiliate link must be labeled. Approval for advertising is separate from the technical checks above.
