LG WM4000HWA / HBA: run Spin Only
Power on without choosing a cycle, hold Spin for 3 seconds, choose the spin speed, then press Start/Pause.
At the washer
Close the door and follow the clothing care labels. Clear CL first if it is displayed. Do not run another spin if the washer is leaking, banging violently or smells burnt.
- Press Power; leave the cycle dial untouched.
- Hold Spin for 3 seconds. Further presses of Spin change the speed.
- Press Start/Pause to begin.
Check the result
This selects drainage and spinning. Rinse+Spin is a different option that includes a rinse.

The button beeps, but Spin Only does not start
If you already chose a wash cycle, turn the washer off and start the sequence again without touching the dial. If that does not help, note the display message before seeking support.
Choose your model on LG support →CL appears or the buttons do not respond
Clear Control Lock before trying to select Spin Only.
Turn off CL →OE appears or water remains in the drum
Do not keep repeating spin cycles. Start the drainage checks; a spin setting cannot establish why the water is trapped.
Check the drainage problem →It turns slowly before spinning faster
LG describes a balancing stage before high-speed spinning. Do not assume the displayed time is all high-speed spin time. Stop if movement becomes violent.
