Before a parts purchase
Compatibility and diagnosis are two checks.
A catalog may show that a part fits. It cannot show that this part caused the fault. Keep the model match and the failure evidence separate before paying.
An identical connector, a similar product name or a matching error code does not settle either question. Record a written supplier or manufacturer match for the complete model, then ask which test supports replacing the proposed component.
Keep unanswered questions open
This tool checks your recorded planning answers. It does not connect to a parts database or verify a supplier's claim.
Ask for a written match
Give the official supplier the complete rating-plate model and sales region, plus the proposed part number. For a Bosch unit, retain the complete E-number including its /xx revision. For Samsung or other regional variants, retain the suffix. If a part number has been superseded, ask which unit revisions the replacement supports and whether installation instructions or accessories change.
Keep the diagnosis with the purchase
“Filter cleaned, but the same fault returned” records a useful result. It does not prove pump failure. “Microwave runs but does not heat” does not distinguish a fuse, switch or high-voltage component. Ask for the model-specific test finding instead of selecting a part from a symptom list.
Check the return and installation terms
- Can an opened or installed electrical part be returned, and who pays return shipping?
- Are the accessory, seal, programming and labor charges included in the written scope?
- Does the part warranty cover only the part or a repeat callout and labor?
- Will the installer verify the original complaint and check for leaks or another stop condition afterward?
Do not remove a microwave cover, bypass an interlock, work on live wiring or open gas or refrigerant connections to make an uncertain order seem justified. A completed checklist never expands the DIY scope of a model guide.

Evidence and limits
The Midea Duo parts comparison shows why catalog positions and model diagrams need keeping together. The Bosch SHE53B75UC guide explains the complete E-number boundary. The FTC warranty guide supports reading written coverage; it does not validate a supplier or this checklist.
